白色情人节
I Wonder What Emo Is?
The sky is blue here most of the time,
But sadly today clouds have drifted in.
I look up, hoping to see heart shaped clouds,
But all I saw were broken hearts.
The people around me reflected my mood,
Being Emo was something new.
Never knew how it felt,
They seem to look gloomy like a Gloom.
The cold wind gave me a hint,
As it pass me by.
Some look for shelter by the trees,
Others look for buildings close by.
Just to keep ourselves warm,
And stay alive.
Being Emo, is like being blown by a cold wind,
But no matter how cold the wind is,
Our body reminds us we’re warm inside and out,
So that’s why being Emo is a onetime thing.
It comes and goes,
Just like the cold wind.

Windy Day~
Today, we went to Monash University Clayton Campus to locate our classes.
As you can see from the video above, it is a very windy day... and unfortunately, Ding-En was just wearing his casual clothes... a t-shirt and a short pants... so, he must be some kind of hero today... LOL!
From my point of view, I think Autumn has made his way here... Have fun enjoying this season... ^^
Signing off,

Australia Life
Hi everyone. You will be wondering why this blog exists, right? We do not have the exact answer for that question, but we have our own reasons to open this new blog. We are all Malaysians who study in Australia for our better future. Australia may be our second home for now.
Lets take a closer look about Australia. Australia is a stable, culturally diverse and democratic society with a skilled workforce and a strong, competitive economy. With a population of more than 21 million, Australia is the only nation to govern an entire continent. It is the earth’s biggest island and the sixth-largest country in the world in land area. Australia is one of the world’s oldest landmasses and has been populated by human beings for an estimated 60 000 years. Before the arrival of European settlers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples inhabited most areas of the continent. Australia’s contemporary history is relatively short, with the first European settlement established by Great Britain on 26 January 1788. Australia’s population includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and migrants from some 200 countries. In over 60 years of planned post-war migration, Australia has welcomed more than 6.5 million migrants, including more than 660 000 refugees. During this time, the population has tripled from about 7 million. Migrants have brought with them language skills and other capabilities that are valuable in today’s global economy and workforce. Although English is the official language in Australia, more than 3 million Australians speak a language other than English at home (2007). As a result, Australia offers the familiarity of a Western business culture with a workforce capable of operating in many different business environments.
That's Australia. As for us, we arrived here just a week ago, or maybe 10 days. The lifestyle in Australia is really different. We have to adjust ourselves to that when we first arrived. For example, shops close in the evening here. We can't go out to and shop just like we do in Malaysia. Moreover, there are no mamak stalls here. In Malaysia, we can go out yum cha in mamak stalls anytime, even during midnights.
Because of that, we will have our dinner at home everyday. As all of us know, a balanced diet is important for our health. Let's take a brief look of what we usually eat for our meal:
Healthy meal, huh? xD
Australians speak differently when compared with people from other countries. The manner of speaking is an expression of identity. It signals identification with one group and rejection of another. You will find it hard to understand the Australian accent and slang in the beginning. In order to understand them better, you must listen and speak more with them.
Well, that's just a bit we know about Australia. There are still more to explore.. But studies are important too. Have a good day. =P
